September was fun and a new beginning. I started taking bookstagram and blogging more seriously, and I received my first ever review copy in September(Yay!). August 31st to be more accurate. I really enjoy blogging and I absolutely love the bookstagram community. I made a couple of friends. Overall, September was just awesome.
So, I finished 8 books in September and I have started the 9th one, but am not sure if I will finish it by tonight. The first four are review copies I received.
- Harappa – Curse of the Blood River, Vineet Bajpai – I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. I went into this book without any expectation and I was pleasantly surprised. If you’re looking for a quick, easy, historical fiction, then definitely pick this one. I’m eagerly waiting for the second book. I recommend this book to everyone.
My Rating – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
To read the full review, click here. - Just Friends, Sumrit Shahi – This is Sumrit Shahi’s debut novel and it was written when he was seventeen-years-old. Considering that I would say the Author has shown great potential with his debut novel. But at the same time, I felt there are just a little too many sexual innuendos in this book. Especially the first half, it took me really long to get into the book. I wish he had written little less of that. I personally felt that this is not a book for all age groups. It is a refreshing and quick read.
My Rating – ⭐️⭐️⭐️
To read the full review, click here. - Hell! No Saints in Paradise, A.K. Asif – To begin with, my expectations were really high. The story addresses a question that we all might have had at some point. “Do you believe in Heaven and Hell?” The characters are well developed and the world building is also good. I really enjoyed the book for the most part.
My Rating – ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
To read the full review, click here. - Second Chance, Dr. Sandeep Jatwa – It is a decent read. If you’re looking for a quick and easy read do check this one. The book gives us hope. Maybe it’s never too late to change and start over.
My Rating – ⭐️⭐️⭐️
To read the full review, click here. - When Dimple met Rishi, Sandhya Menon – If you are looking for a cute, fun, summer contemporary read, then this one is for you. This book is cheesy in many ways, but if you love a good YA romance this will not disappoint you.
My Rating – ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
To read the full review, click here. - Reservoir 13, Jon McGregor – The story is about how life goes on and how people cope up in the aftermath of a tragedy. It is a wonderfully crafted book, that demands patience. But it is definitely worth it. This book was long listed for this years Man Booker prize.
My Rating – ⭐️⭐️⭐️.75
To read the full review, click here. - Train to Pakistan, Khushwant Singh – I’m so happy that I discovered this book. It was such a heart-wrenching read, but definitely worth it.
My Rating – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, Benjamin Alire Saenz – This book is just freaking adorable. I finished it in one sitting. It is such a refreshing, easy and fun read. Review will be up soon.
My Rating – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ -
You Never Know: Sometimes Love Can Drag You Through Hell.., Akash Verma – I have just started this book. Since this is a review copy, a separate review post will be up in a week.
